Local Covid-19 vaccination sites operate six day ‘walk-in’ service for all Bracknell Forest residents without the need for an appointment

If you are a Bracknell Forest resident aged 18 and over, you can walk-in to two sites and get your first or second Covid-19 vaccination, between Friday 25 June and Wednesday 30 June, without needing an appointment.

The two walk in sites are as follows:-

  • Vaccination site at Waitrose Sports and Leisure Centre, Willoughby Road, Bracknell, GG12 8FP
  • Vaccination site at Birch Hill Medical Centre, RG12 7WW

Both sites will operate daily (25-30 June) during the following opening hours:-

  • Vaccination site at Waitrose Sports and Leisure Centre

25 June – 30 June - Between 8.30am – 7pm (Pfizer and AstraZeneca each day)

  • Vaccination site at Birch Hill vaccination site

Friday 25 June – 8am-6pm (AstraZeneca vaccines available)

Saturday 26 June – 9am – 1.30pm (Pfizer vaccines available)

Sunday 27 June – 9am – 1.30pm (Pfizer vaccines available)

Monday 28 June – 9am – 5pm (Pfizer vaccines available)

Tuesday 29 June – 1pm – 7pm (Pfizer vaccines available)

Wednesday 30 June – 8am- 6pm (Pfizer vaccines available)

If you’ll be using one of the walk in sites to have your first dose, you will have your vaccination record updated online and will then be able to book in your second dose appointment using the national booking system.

If you’ll be attending either site to have your second dose, then you will need to ensure that it has been at least eight weeks since your first dose if you are aged 40 and over, or 12 weeks if you are aged 40 or under.

Getting your second dose is vital to getting longer lasting and maximum protection offered by the vaccines, with recent research also showing they are highly effective against the Delta/Indian strain of the virus.

If you don’t want to use one of the walk-in sites, then you can still book your vaccination via the national booking service.

If you do not have internet access or cannot go online, then you can call the service on 119 instead to book your jab.

In line with updated JCVI guidance, people aged 39 and under and all pregnant women will be offered the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.
